Boarding Protocol

Reservations are recommended for your pet, especially during peak holiday seasons.
All that is needed is verification of current vaccine records. If your pet isalready a patient at Ojai Pet Hospital, then this information should be available in your records here. If not, simply pick up a copy of the information from your veterinarian.  If the vaccines were not given by a veterinarian or you do not have written proof of current vaccines (usually within the last year) vaccines must be given here.

As this is also a medical facility, there are no exceptions to this requirement. The health and safety of all of our patients and boarders is our primary concern.

Cats:
FVRCP or 4 in 1 (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calici Virus,
Panleukopenia or Feline Distemper)
FELV
(Feline Leukemia Virus)
Rabies Vaccine

All of the above vaccines must be current within the last year.

Dogs:
DHLP-PVC or 7 in 1 (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis,
Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, Coronavirus)
Rabies Vaccine

The 7 in 1 vaccine must be current within the last year, Rabies Vaccine must be current within the last 1 to 3 years.

Variations on these requirements may apply to young animals still in their initial vaccine series.

Diet
At Ojai Pet Hospital, we feed the high quality premium foods by Hills Pet Nutrition. Diets will be tailored to your pet according to their needs. If your pet is currently being fed one of the Hills Prescription Diets, then that food will be available here. If you have another specific diet for your pet that you would like maintained while boarding with us, please plan to bring that diet with your pet.
